Organizing and Interior Design

In my role as a professional organizer, I achieve the goal of creating and maintaining organizational systems by teaching others the basic principles of organization.

At Make Space for Grace, when I talk about Space in the professional organizing context, it is with a hat tip to Julie Morgenstern:
Sort
Purge
Assign a Home
Containerize
Equalize (monitor how the new system is working, adjusting it, and maintaining it).
I apply this system to every type of organizational project.

One of my main jobs when working as a professional organizer is to help clients reduce an excessive and disorganized accumulation of paper in their home or office.  My aim in these situations is to help clients take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper, and their systems for life.  Make Space for Grace helps redirect paradigms into more useful cross-applications that ensure properly co-sustainable futures for my clients' spaces and processes.

I offer a wide variety of services, from designing a functional closet to organizing a move.  Among the projects I regularly take on are working with individuals in their homes on planning and reorganizing the space of a room, improving paperwork management, and/or coaching in time management and in goal setting.  When working in a business setting, I aim to increase productivity by improving paper filing, electronic organization, and employee time management.

One of the things I also work with clients a great deal on is why they are disorganized, which is usually for one of the following reasons:
  • Lack of time, interest, discipline, or ability
  • Naturally disorganized
  • Unsure how to share space as a couple or among several people
  • Tendency to put other people first
  • Too busy with work
  • Procrastination
  • Lack of storage space or the right storage stuff
  • Emotional factors like stress, anxiety, and depression, or just feeling overwhelmed
Regardless of the reasons or specific situation, I guarantee compassion, support, and total confidentiality.  I began my training a professional organizer after learning how to conquer my own organizational challenges so I have incredible empathy for my clients, and I also have seen it all!  My job as an organizer is to help you maximize your space, clear out clutter, and create a more efficient lifestyle.  At Make Space for Grace, my mission is helping people to feel good about themselves.
